01.04.2023

The Zweckverband Wasserversorgung Hardtgruppe is expanding the existing Sandhausen waterworks to include a new filter hall with an additional filter line for the treatment of raw water from groundwater for public drinking water supply. The major order for the production of SÜLZLE KOPF Anlagenbau includes three oxidizers, which are used to enrich the raw water with oxygen, and six filter vessels, which are intended for the removal of iron, manganese and arsenic. These will ensure clean drinking water in the future.

The stainless steel filter tanks have a diameter of 3.2 meters and are 7 meters high. The packed bed oxidizers are also a good 7 meters high with a diameter of 1.6 meters. In addition to the manufacture and delivery of the tanks, SÜLZLE KOPF’s scope of services also includes the installation of the tanks in the waterworks’ new filter hall. The tanks were manufactured at the Sulz-Bergfelden plant in the period from November 2022 to February 2023, with installation scheduled for April 2023.
