Last Saturday, the SÜLZLE Group was awarded the “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes” in Würzburg. Since 1994, the Oskar Patzelt Foundation has been organising this corporate competition, which is considered to be the flagship of the “Made in Germany” brand and one of the most prestigious business awards in Germany. Following the 2017 finalist prize, the SÜLZLE group was able to assert itself this year in a field of top-class nominees.

The highest award in medium-sized businesses considers not only numbers, innovations or jobs, but the company as a whole, in its complex role in society.

Of the 5,399 nominees from all over Germany, the winners and finalists from southern Germany were honoured on the 14th of September in Würzburg with the participation of personalities from politics, business and the media. The glamorous award gala was a special evening especially for the SÜLZLE Group.  Nominated by the Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft für den Zollernalbkreis mbH, the SÜLZLE Group won the “Großen Preis des Mittelstandes” this year after its success as “Finalist 2017” and convinced the jury in all categories.

“It is something special to be honoured here and to assert oneself in this field of top-class candidates. We are pleased to receive this award on behalf of our great employees”, the managing partners Heinrich and Andreas Sülzle were pleased after the award ceremony.

Decisive factors for the award included the overall development of the company, the creation and safeguarding of jobs and training positions, modernisation and innovation, commitment to the region as well as marketing, service and customer proximity.
