Buffer storage for heat storage from block-type thermal power station

At the end of June 2016, two buffer storage tanks from SÜLZLE KOPF Anlagenbau in Sulz-Bergfelden were on the road on a heavy goods vehicle. The destination was the bioenergy farm Birkhof of the company Osswald & Schrägle GbR in Sulz-Glatt. Precision work was necessary to transport the two containers, each with a diameter of 3.8 metres and a proud weight of 13 tonnes, from one side of the Neckar valley to the other. The heavy transport of a SÜLZLE KOPF buffer storage tank had a total length of 24.50 m and was carried out professionally by Paule with special vehicles.

Thilo Kläger, responsible sales manager at SÜLZLE KOPF Anlagenbau, placed the containers at their destination in such a way that they could be installed without any problems within a few days. The new SÜLZLE buffer tanks serve to store the heat from the block-type thermal power station better. After the successful heavy transport, the insulation was installed in the next step. A few weeks later, the plant and the buffer storage tanks were put into operation. By the future intermediate storage of the heat from the block heat and power plants an optimization of the plant operation was reached.
