SÜLZLE KOPF realises EnBW project

The largest utility company in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, EnBW, retrofitted the Münster power plant with a supplementary heater for the existing district heat supply from the residual waste thermal power station in Stuttgart-Münster. This was implemented via a heat exchanger system with an output of 75 MW (manufactured by OHL Heat Technology & Services). With this heat exchanger, overheated steam at 270°C – 5.5 bar is used to generate hot water at 140°C. SÜLZLE KOPF carried out the entire integration of all hot steam, condensation and hot water processes, including all pumps and fittings up to a nominal width of 600. In the process, the latest welding technologies were used by certified welders according to EN 287-1. The system was constructed according to AD 2000 and certified by the TÜV according to PED.

“Even in the offer phase, SÜLZLE KOPF Gebäudetechnik already stood out from its competitors – through a high level of expertise coupled with technically and economically attractive alternative solutions. I would like to particularly highlight their proactive development of individual solutions, the effective project organisation, the unbureaucratic handling of unexpected challenges and the fair partnership on an equal footing. In short: SÜLZLE KOPF gave us the proverbial all-inclusive package.”
